JNH islamic University was estasblished on 11-10-1874 by Nizam VI.It was world renowned university for its teachings in Muslim Religious affairs till recently about higher education.It moved from Mir Jumla tank to its own building having 7 acres of Plot at Sapligunj.

Its courses are from Primary to Ph.D and were recognised by UGC,Osmania,Aligarh Muslim university and foreign universities like Jamia Azar of Egypt,Mecca,Madina universities of Soudi Arabia etc…
It gives free education along with boarding and lodging to around 1000 students every year.The former CM of AP, Dr.Burgula Rama Krishna Rao,and MP Sri M. Baga Reddy,are among the several noted alumani of this university.
There are about 60 educational schools,Junior colleges,degree colleges under its control in AP, Maharastra, Karnataka & Tamil nadu.
