JIIT Noida M.Tech Admission 2024
Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT), Noida, offers M.Tech admission for the year 2024.
Objective: The objective of the 2-year (4-semester) M.Tech. Programs is to impart advanced-level knowledge in the respective fields of specializations, making the students better suited to academia as well as industry. The program aims to equip students with capabilities required for research, design, and innovative development, along with a creative aptitude. The M.Tech. Programs consist of core and elective subjects, project-based learning, and intensive dissertation/industrial/entrepreneurial projects in the respective areas of specialization.
Disciplines Offered:
- M.Tech in Biotechnology
- M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering / Computer Science & Engineering with specialization in (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning / Data Analytics / IT & Entrepreneurship / Internet of Things)
- M.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering with specialization in (Wireless Communication / Microelectronic Systems and Internet of Things / Machine Learning and Signal Processing)
Important Dates:
- Last Date for Applying: May 31, 2024
- PG Entrance Test (JIIT-PGET):
- Round-1 (applications received up to April 30): May 11, 2024
- Round-2 (applications received in May 2024): June 8, 2024
- Admission offer letters will be issued to selected candidates by email within seven days.
- Subsequent rounds of admission will be based on vacancies.
Eligibility Criteria
Biotechnology:
- Candidates must hold a B.Tech in Biotechnology/B.Tech in Bioinformatics/Masters in Life Sciences/4-year Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology/Life Sciences/Agriculture, MBBS, B.VSc., and B.Pharma with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) or equivalent grade point on a 10-point scale in the aggregate.
- University/Institute will admit students under DBT support (GAT-B qualified) through centralized selection.
Computer Science and Engineering:
- Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent (Computer Science and Engineering/Information Technology/Electronics and Communication Engineering/Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Equivalent) or M.Sc. (Computer Science/Information Technology/Mathematics/Mathematics & Computing/Statistics/Operations Research/Electronics/Instrumentation) or MCA from a recognized Institution with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) or equivalent grade point on a 10-point scale in the aggregate.
VLSI Design:
- Candidates must have BE/B.Tech. in EE/EEE/ECE/CSE/Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering/Information and Communication Technology/Instrumentation & Control Engineering, A.M.I.E./A.M.I.E.T.E. in Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering, M.Sc. in Electronics/Instrumentation/Physics with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) or equivalent grade point on a 10-point scale in the aggregate.
Application Process:
- Application for admission may be submitted online by visiting the link: www.getadmissions.com OR
- Application may be downloaded from the website www.jiit.ac.in and duly filled application along with the application fee of Rs. 1000/- in the form of a demand draft in favor of Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, payable at Noida/Delhi may be submitted personally or by post. OR
- Application form may be obtained from the Admission Cell, JIIT, A-10, Sector-62, Noida 201 309, by paying Rs. 1000/- in cash or through a Demand Draft of Rs. 1,000/- (Rs. One thousand only) made in favor of Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, payable at Noida/Delhi, and duly filled application form may be submitted personally or by post.
- Duly completed offline application forms/print out of online applications must reach on or before the due date at: The Registrar, M.Tech Admissions Jaypee Institute of Information Technology A-10, Sector-62, Noida 201 309.
Fees Structure:
- Application Fee: Rs. 1000/-
- Tuition Fee: Rs. 66,000/- per semester in the first year and Rs. 69,300/- per semester in the second year.
- Hostel Fee: Rs. 1,00,000/- per semester including mess charges.
Selection Process:
- Candidates appearing in the final year examination of the qualifying degree may also apply. They will be required to submit a mark sheet of the qualifying degree on or before the date of registration.
- Direct admission to candidates with a valid GATE score/any other national-level entrance exam. Or
- Direct admission to candidates with CGPA ≥ 7.5 or equivalent in their qualifying degree. Or
- Admission based on marks obtained in the entrance test JIIT-PGET. The computer-based test will be conducted at JIIT Sector-62 Campus as per the schedule. The MCQ (50 questions) based test will be of 100 marks of two hours duration. Or
- Admission based on the score obtained in CUET-PG conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA).
- Applicants qualifying the JIIT-PGET or CUET-PG in the concerned discipline of the M.Tech Programme will be considered for admission as per merit.
Teaching Assistantship:
- Teaching Assistantships of Rs. 12000/- per month will be provided to students with a valid GATE score.
- Candidates with CGPA ≥7.5 in the qualifying degree will be provided TA of Rs. 12000/- per month.
- If appearing in the final year examination of the qualifying degree, then provisional TA of Rs. 12000/- per month will be offered based on the result of the pre-final semester/year, subject to obtaining the CGPA ≥7.5 in the final mark sheet of the qualifying degree. The final mark sheet to be submitted at the time of registration/30 Sep 2024.
- For subsequent semesters, TA will be admissible, subject to meeting the minimum SGPA criteria of ≥7.5 and other conditions as laid down in the M. Tech regulations.
- TA will be provided to students admitted in MTech programs after the last date of admission for AY 2024-25 (from Oct 2024 for the first semester).
