AIPVT B.V.Sc. & A.H 2010

The All India Pre Veterinary Test (AIPVT 2010) shall be an objective type (multiple choice and reason assertion type) examination to be held on 08.05.2010 (Saturday) from 2 to 5 P.M. at designated centres in the country for aipvt 2010 admission to Veterinary Colleges (B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree course) under 15% quota to be filled by the Veterinary Council of India.

AIPVT 2010 Duration of Course

The duration of AIPVT B.V.Sc. & A.H. 2010 degree course is spread over five complete academic years consisting of First, Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth Annual / Board examinations and a compulsory rotating internship of six months.

AIPVT 2010 Eligibility

An applicant is eligible for admission to the All India Pre Veterinary Test if the following criteria are met with :-

Nationality:

* He/She is an Indian national. Since the provisions of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 have not been extended to the State of Jammu & Kashmir, candidates from that State shall not be eligible to appear in the said examination unless they submit an Affidavit in enclosed Proforma on NonJudicial Stamp Paper of Rs. 10/- duly attested by Metropolitan Magistrate/First Class Judicial Magistrate to the effect that:-

* They are not eligible to compete for B.V.Sc. &A.H. seats in the State of Jammu & Kashmir and hence, not eligible to seek admission in Veterinary Colleges of Jammu &Kashmir and they are not domicile of Jammu & Kashmir.

Note: AIPVT 2010 Applications not accompanied with the required Affidavit shall be rejected without any further reference in this matter. SuchAffidavits submitted by the candidates shall be verified and if found to be false, the admission of all such candidates shall be cancelled and legal proceedings initiated against them.

AIPVT 2010 Age Eligibility:

He/She has attained or will attain the age of Seventeen (17) years as on 31st December, 2010. Candidates attaining seventeen Years on 1st of January, 2010 or later will not be eligible to appear at the Entrance examination.

AIPVT 2010 Essential Qualification: He/She has passed:-

1. The Higher Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination equivalent to 10+2 Higher/Senior Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years of study the last two years of study with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council for Education Research and Training after the introduction of the 10+2+3 (years) educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education. OR

2. The Intermediate Science examination in science from a recognized University/Board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (which shall include a practical test in these subjects) and English.

Minimum Marks for AIPVT 2010 Entrance Exam:

To be eligible for AIPVT 2010 entrance examination, candidate must have passed any of the qualifying examinations as enumerated above. Further, he/she should have obtained a minimum of 50% marks for General Category in aggregate in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English at 10+2 /Intermediate Science Examination. Provided also that to be eligible for entrance examination the candidate must have passed the aforesaid subjects individually.

For the candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste/the Scheduled Tribes or other special category(Other Backward Classes) of students as specified by the Government from time to time, marks required for admission shall be 10% less than that prescribed for General Category.

Note :-

1. A candidate who is taking the qualifying examination prior to the AIPVT 2010 Entrance Examination, or whose result is awaited, may also apply and take the examination but he/she shall not be eligible for AIPVT 2010 admission to the B.V.Sc. & A.H. programme, if he/she does not pass the qualifying examination with the required percentage of marks as per the Minimum Standard of Veterinary Education Degree Course (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) Regulations, 2008 on or before 30th June, 2010 and submit the documentary proof during counseling, if selected.

2. In pursuance of the Honorable Supreme Court order dated 10.4.2008 and according to detailed instructions of the Ministry of Human Resource Development issued vide their O.M.No.1-1/2005-UIA/847 dated 20.4.2008 it has been decided to implement OBC reservations in phased manner on the pro-rata basis in respect of seats being contributed to the All India Quota by the Central Education Institutions only.

AIPVT Application Form 2010

A candidate can apply for All India Pre Veterinary Test 2010 in the following two ways:

(A) AIPVT 2010 Online submission of Application may be made by accessing Council website www.vci-india.in. The candidate should mention all details while filling up the AIPVT 2010 Form. Candidates are required to take a printout of the Application submitted 'AIPVT 2010 Online' after successful submission of data.

The printout of the AIPVT 2010 Online Application Form, complete in all respect as applicable for AIPVT 2010 Offline submission should be sent to:

By Registered/Speed Post only. Candidates should pay examination fee (Rs.800/- for General/OBC Category and Rs.400/- for SC/ST Category) through a Demand Draft in favour of the "Veterinary Council of India Examination Fund New Delhi", drawn on any scheduled Bank payable at New Delhi.

Candidate should write his/her name, address and Application No. on the back of Demand Draft. Candidate must ensure that the AIPVT 2010 Application Form with original.

Demand Draft of the fee should reach to the Council office on or before the last date i.e. 22nd February, 2010. Submission of only 'Online' Application within due date shall not be sufficient for registering candidature. Only the Applications complete in all respect accompanied by required examination fee in the form of Demand Draft and received on or before the closing date shall be considered for issuing Admit Card. Online Applications shall not be considered for issuing Admit Card until the Applications are also received by post complete in all respect along with required examination fee through Demand Draft before the closing date as for AIPVT 2010 Offline Application.

Detailed instructions for AIPVT 2010 Online Submission of Application will be available on the website www.vci-india.in.

(B) AIPVT 2010 Offline submission of Application should be made on the prescribed AIPVT 2010 Application Form through Registered/Speed Post as mentioned below:

1. Acandidate seeking admission to the All India Pre Veterinary Test is required to send his/her Application in prescribed Form available with Information Bulletin.

2. AIPVT Application Form 2010 should be filled in English only.

3. The candidate, before filling in the AIPVT 2010 Form, shall satisfy his/her eligibility to appear at the examination. The candidate is required to go through the Information Bulletin carefully and acquaint himself/ herself with all the requirements with regard to filling of the Application Form for AIPVT 2010.

4. The candidate shall fill-up the AIPVT Application Form in his/her own handwriting in BLOCK LETTERS written neatly and legibly with dark blue/black pen or ball pen within the prescribed boxes/ spaces.

5. Overwriting/ cutting/ erasing in the AIPVT 2010 Application Form may lead to rejection of Form and should be avoided. Any error arising on this account shall be the responsibility of the candidate.

6. Do not punch holes or staple the Form of AIPVT 2010. Fold the Form as per the direction given in the AIPVT 2010 Form.

7. No enclosures are required to be submitted with the Application Form except Affidavit in case of candidates from Jammu & Kashmir.

8. Do not make any stray marks on the AIPVT 2010 Application Form as this shall lead to rejection of the AIPVT Form.

Last Date for Sale of Information Bulletin and Receipt of AIPVT 2010 Applications:

The last date for sale of Information Bulletin and AIPVT 2010 Application Form by Hand/Post/Bank is 15th February, 2010.

The last date of submission of duly filled AIPVT Application Form 2010 is 22nd February, 2010 (5.00 P.M.). Application received after22nd February, 2010 shall not be considered.

Note: For Applications posted from the remote areas viz. Mizoram, Assam, Meghalaya, Aurnachal Pradesh, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Lahaul and Spiti Districts and Pangi sub-division of Chamba District of Himanchal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep, the last date of receipt shall be 09th March, 2010.

Cost & Mode of Sale of Information Bulletin & AIPVT 2010 Application Form

(i) AIPVT 2010 Information Bulletin containing the AIPVT 2010 Application Form can be obtained between 4th January to 15th February, 2010 by hand from the counter of the office of the Veterinary Council of India, 'A' Wing, 2nd Floor, August Kranti Bhawan, Bhikaji Cama Place, New Delhi-66 on payment of Rs. 800/- in case of General /OBC Category and Rs. 400/- in case of Scheduled Cast/Scheduled Tribes category through Demand Draft only. The Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of "Veterinary Council of India-Examination Fund, New Delhi" Payable at New Delhi.

(ii) AIPVT 2010 Information Bulletin and AIPVT Application Form 2010 can also be obtained between 4th January to 15th February, 2010 by Post on payment of Rs. 850/- for General/OBC Category and Rs. 450/- for SC/ST Category through Demand Draft in favour of "Veterinary Council of India-Examination Fund, New Delhi" Payable at New Delhi, from the office of the Veterinary Council of India, 'A' Wing, 2nd Floor, August Kranti Bhawan, Bhikaji Cama Place, New Delhi - 110066.

AIPVT 2010 Important Dates

1. Sale of Information Bulletin and Application Form by hand/Post On all working days from: 4th January to 15th February, 2010

2. Schedule for Online submission of Application: 04th January, 2010 (10 A.M.) to 15th February, 2010 (5.00 P.M)

3. Last date for receipt of duly filled in Application at Council Office: 22nd February, 2010 (5.00 P.M.)*

4. Issue of Admit Cards: 12th to 19th April, 2010

5. Admit Cards available for down loading: 20th April to 5th May, 2010

6. Date of All India Pre-Veterinary Test: Saturday, the 08th May, 2010 (2.00 to 05.00 P.M.)

7. Result expected to be declared: First/Second Week of June, 2010

Syllabus for AIPVT 2010 Examination:

The general standard of the All India Pre Veterinary Test 2010 will be that of Xlth and Xllth class under the 10+2 Scheme/Pre-Medical/Intermediate Science or an equivalent examination of an Indian University/ State Board/CBSE. No separate syllabus for the examination is prescribed by the Council.

AIPVT 2010 Examination City Codes

AIPVT Examination 2010 will be held at the cities listed below, provided there are sufficient number of candidates for each centre.

Candidates should, therfore, give their choices for two centers, in order of preference in their Application Form of AIPVT 2010.

Candidates must note that the Centre of AIPVT 2010 Examination once opted by a candidate shall not be changed and any request for such a change will not be entertained under any circumstances.

Issue of AIPVT 2010 Admit Cards:

AIPVT 2010 Admit Card shall be sent to the candidate by post between 12th to 19th April, 2010. AIPVT 2010 Admit Card shall also be up loaded on the website of the Council during the period from 20 April 2010 to 05th May, 2010 for viewing and downloading purpose. No duplicate AIPVT 2010 Admit Card shall be issued

Any candidates not receiving the AIPVT Admit Card from the Council office by post, may download his/her Admit Card and produce the print out at the AIPVT 2010 Examination Centre for appearing of the AIPVT 2010 examination. However, candidates reporting at the specified examination centre with download AIPVT 2010 Admit Card shall require to produce identity proof for being allowed to take the AIPVT 2010 Examination.

No candidate shall be admitted to the examination all unless he/she holds an AIPVT 2010 Admit Card issued by the Council.

No AIPVT 2010 Admit Card shall be issued to the candidates whose Applications are found to be incomplete for any reasons (including indistinct/doubtful photographs/unsigned Applications) or who do not fulfill the AIPVT 2010 eligibility criteria for the examination. Issue of Admit Cards, however, shall not necessarily mean acceptance of eligibility which shall be further scrutinized at subsequent stages of selection.

Note:

1. Candidates must not mutilate the AIPVt Admit Card or Change any entry made therein.

2. Candidates are advised to keep their AIPVT 2010 Admit Cards in good condition till admission inVeterinary College is over.
