KCET 2024 will be held on 18 April 2024 and 19 April 2024. Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) is a State level Common entrance exam. It is organized by Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) for admission to Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Bachelor of Yoga and Naturopathy (BNYS), Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.), Farm Science courses i.e., [i.e., Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.), B.Sc. The exam pattern was as follows
- Mode of Exam – The exam is a Offline test.
- Question type – The questions are Multiple Choice Questions (Objective).
- Number of Questions – There are 60 per paper questions in the entrance exam.
- Total Marks – Maximum marks in the exam is 60 marks per paper.
- Exam Duration – The entrance exam is of 80 minutes per paper.
Marking Scheme –
- Candidates get +1 marks for correct answer.
- And negative marks is 0 for incorrect answers

Eligibility Criteria
– No candidate shall be eligible for admission to Government Seats unless he is a citizen of India
– A candidate who is appearing in the qualifying examination, i.e., 2nd PUC / 12th Standard in academic year whose result is awaited, may apply and appear for Common Entrance Test (CET) but he/she shall not be eligible for admission to any of the course specified in item 5 at page 13-14, if he/she does not pass the qualifying examination with the required pass percentage of marks.
– The educational qualifications / eligibility criteria prescribed by the Competent Authority in regulations / guidelines issued from time to time will be applicable in deciding the eligibility.
– Eligibility / admissions / allotments made to and by the colleges shall be subject to approval by MCI / DCI / AICTE / COA / CCIM / Government / concerned University / Apex Bodies / etc.
MBBS
– Passed in 2nd PUC / 12th Std / Equivalent Exam with English as one of the Languages and obtained a Minimum of 50% of Marks in aggregate in Physics,
Chemistry, Biology subjects. (Aggregate of three) (40% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates)
– In CET- Examination Minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in PCB Subjects (40% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates)
BDS
– Passed in 2nd PUC / 12th Std / Equivalent Exam with English as one of the Languages and obtained a Minimum of 50% of Marks in aggregate in Physics,
Chemistry, Biology subjects. (Aggregate of three) (40% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates).

(40% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates)
Architecture (B.Arch)
– Passed in 2nd PUC / 12th Std / Equivalent Exam with Mathematics as Compulsory optional subject and obtained a Minimum of 50% of Marks in aggregate in all the subjects. (45% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates)
Bachelor of Science (B.Sc)
– Passed in 2nd PUC / 12th Std / Equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology as optional subjects.
Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.)
– Passed in 2nd PUC / 12th Std. and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects. (Aggregate of four) (40% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates)
B-Pharma
– Passed in 2nd PUC / 12th Std with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and obtained a Minimum of 45% of Marks in
aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects. (40% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B,3A and 3B category candidates. OR
– Passed in Diploma in Pharmacy Examination from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India Under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act and has secured the minimum of 45% marks. (40% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates.
2nd Year B. Pharma
– Passed in Diploma in Pharmacy Examination from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India Under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act and has secured the minimum of 45% marks. (40% for SC, ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B category candidates.
Pharma-D
Passed in 2nd PUC / 12th Std with Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics OR Passed in Diploma in Pharmacy Examination from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India Under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.
