Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) Admission is conducted by North Eastern Regional Institute of Management (NERIM), Guwahati
Duration : 3yr. full time
Interested candidates should fulfill following eligibility criteria:
=> Candidates who have passed 10+2/Higher Secondary Examination with Mathematics conducted by Assam Higher Secondary Education Council or any Examination recognised as equivalent by the Dibrugarh University with atleast 45% marks, are eligible for admission into the 1st Semester of the BCA course. Relaxation for Schedule Caste/Schedule Tribes/OBC/MOBC candidates shall be as per existing rules of the State Govt.

=> Newspaper notice inviting applications for admission into the BCA course shall be issued by the Registrar or by any person authorised for the purpose at least six weeks in advance from the date of admission. Each applicant shall have to submit his/her application within the prescribed date along with the requisite documents as indicated.
=> Candidates who have passed the (10+2)/ Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council, or any other examination recognised as equivalent by the Dibrugarh University in Science, Arts and Commerce stream with Mathematics securing atleast 45% marks in aggregate are eligible for admission into the first semester of the BCA course.The minimum qualification for admission into the BCA course shall be fixed by the Academic Council from time to time. Selection for admission shall be made on merit basis as determined by the University. Candidates must also fulfill the conditions regarding age as per rules formulated by the University/Government from time to time. Relaxation for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes (including MOBC) candidates shall be as per existing rules of the state government.
=> No candidate shall be admitted into a semester of the course after two weeks of its commencement. This may be however extended by not more than one week, with late fine, under very special circumstances at the discretion of the university.
=> Since the Semester system involves continuous assessment, there shall be no scope for a student to appear as a private candidate in any subject in this system.

BCA Important dates section aims to list all important dates such as date of availability of form, last submission date, result date, counselling date, etc.

5. To develop all-round personality and communicative traits to meet the expectations of employers in both public and the private sectors.
As per regulation of Dibrugarh University, the BCA Programme (3 Year Full time) consists of Six Semesters covering three Calendar Years. Each semester will cover 600 marks (except 6th semester) and every paper of each semester will carry 100 marks. All papers are compulsory. A student has to carry out one Minor Project in Fifth Semester and one Major Project in Sixth Semester based on real life situation. The evaluation pattern of students’ performance in each of the papers will be as follows:
=> In-Semester Evaluation: 25% marks (Based on Internal Examinations, Home Assignments, Attendance, Seminars, Library Works, Installation of Hardware & Software, Viva-voce)
=> End-Semester Evaluation : 75% marks (University Final Examination at the end of the semester).
