PGIMER M.Sc Nursing 2024 Exam Date

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates must possess either a B.Sc. Nursing (4 years) or B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic) from an institution recognized by the concerned State Nursing Registration Council with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate.
  • Minimum one year of work experience* is required after registration as a Registered Nurse and registered Midwife by 06.05.2024 (the last date for submission of applications). This experience should be in bed-side nursing in a minimum of 100 bedded capacity hospital (for private hospitals only) or in Public Health Nursing or in Nursing Educational Institutions recognized by the State(s) Nursing Council after obtaining B.Sc. Nursing (4 years) or before and after Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing. The experience certificate must be on the letterhead of the hospital, indicating the bed capacity of the hospital in terms of the number of beds and should be approved by State/Central Government(s).
  • Should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife as approved by the State Nursing Council, or substitute registration in the case of male candidates fully qualified for nursing of men, women, and children.
  • For Reserved Seats, no certificate issued after the closing date will be considered for claiming reservation for SC/ST/OBC/ and PwBD.

*Those candidates who are LIKELY TO COMPLETE REQUIRED EXPERIENCE BY LAST DATE OF SUBMISSION OF ONLINE APPLICATION HAVE TO BRING THE EXPERIENCE CERTIFICATE AT THE TIME OF DOCUMENT VERIFICATION as well as COUNSELING. No request for extension to submit the experience certificate shall be entertained.

Application Process:

  • Candidates seeking admission to the Entrance Examination must submit their application in the prescribed format available online with the Prospectus on pgimer.edu.in.

Online Registration:

  1. Select the online registration option and fill in the mandatory details.
  2. Deposit the prescribed fee through debit/credit card/net banking.
  3. After fee submission, fill in the required information step by step. Follow the instructions carefully.
  4. Ensure that correct details are filled in the Registration Slip.
  5. Do not register more than one application.
  6. All applicants must ensure that their photo/signature is uploaded according to the instructions provided in the Prospectus to avoid rejection of applications.

Application Fee:

  • For SC/ST Category: Rs. 1200/- + Transaction Charges as applicable
  • For General/OBC/Sponsored Category: Rs. 1500/- + Transaction Charges as applicable.
  • Persons with Bench-mark Disabilities (PwBD) are exempted from payment of fee.
  • Mode of Payment: Through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking.

Selection Process:

  • Selection will be made strictly based on the merit of the candidates in the respective merit lists of the entrance test.
  • An overall merit list based on the percentile obtained by all candidates appearing in the entrance examination (irrespective of their category) will be prepared.
  • Candidates qualifying for admission:
    • General category: 50th percentile
    • SC/ST/OBC & PwBD: 45th percentile
  • The decision of the Director, PGIMER, Chandigarh, regarding selection, shall be final.
