Eligibility:
* The Ph.D entrance test of 50 marks for the eligible candidates will be held twice (depending on the availability of candidate) in a year and the qualifying marks will be fixed at 40%.
* Candidates with at least 50% Marks in MSc (Ag.) in Genetics & Plant Breeding (or allied disciplines subject to endorsement by the concerned Ph.D committee) from any UGC recognized University are eligible to appear in the Examination.
* Those who have qualified NET / GATE / SLET or already obtained M.Phil degree would be exempted from the examination.
* They may directly submit a statement of purpose or research in brief and appear in the interview.
Important Date :
* The Research Eligibility Test (RET) for Ph.D programme in Genetics & Plant Breeding will be held on 7th February, 2012 at 2 p.m.
* Last date for submission of application form: 30th January, 2012.
* An interview will be held on 14th February, 2012 at 2 pm
Fee :
* Candidates are to deposit application fee of Rs.100/- either by cash or DD through duly filled in C.U. Challan, endorsed by the Head of the Department.
