PGDAS, BSc-MSc, Admissions 2011-2012

Department of Statistics, North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon has invited applications for admission to the following courses of Academic Year 2011-12:

(i) Post-Graduate Diploma in Actuarial Science (PGDAS) and
(ii) Five year dual degree course BSc + MSc (Actuarial Science)

Eligibility:
PGDAS: BSc / BA or MSc / MA with principal subject (Statistics / Mathematics / Economics / Computer Science / Information Technology / Physics) / (BCom with Mathematics up to XII standard and Statistics at BCom) / BBM / E-commerce / MBA / BE Very good Mathematical / Statistical background is expected. (Entrance test may be conducted if number of applicants is large).

BSc + MSc (Actuarial Science):
Candidate who has passed HSC (10+2) from any stream of Science / Commerce / Arts with one of the subjects Mathematics in English medium and has obtained at least 70% (65% for SC / ST / NT / OBC) marks in Mathematics is eligible to get admission through entrance examination.
