Applications have been invited on prescribed form by Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi Regional Institute of Mental Health (LGBRIMH), Assam, from eligible candidates for Admission to the following courses for the Academic year 2011-12.
1. M.D. in Psychiatry
2. M. Phil in Psychiatric Social Work
3. M. Phil in Clinical Psychology
4. M. Sc. in Psychiatric Nursing
ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION:
(1) MD in Psychiatry: M.B.B.S. degree of any university recognized by Medical Council of India with one year rotating internship completed by 15th February 2011 or in Psychiatric Medicine (D.P.M.) of any university recognized by Indian Medical Council.
(2) M. Phil in Psychiatric Social Work: Master's Degree in Social work (MSW) from UGC approved University/Institution having undergone a regular course, securing not less than 55% in the aggregate of the degree as a whole.
(3) M. Phil in Clinical Psychology: 2 years full time M.A. /M. Sc. in Psychology /Counseling Psychology/ Psychological Counseling / Applied Psychology from UGC approved University/ Institution, securing not less than 55% in the aggregate of the degree as a whole.
(4) M. Sc. in Psychiatric Nursing: B.Sc. Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing degree from any University recognized by the Indian Nursing Council with one year working experience as a registered nurse securing not less than 55% marks in the aggregate of the degree as a whole.
There shall be 3% horizontal reservation for physically-handicapped persons (only for locomotary disability of lower limbs between 50% to 70% or as per Govt. of India rules) subject to availability of such candidates.

The Application Form along with Prospectus is available in the Academic Office on payment of Rs. 200/- in the form of demand draft to be drawn in favour of the Director, LGBRIMH payable at Tezpur, Assam.
