ADMISSIONS 2011-2012
Applications have been invited by Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, J&K for admission to the following courses of Academic Year 2011-12.
1. BCA
Eligibility for Admission: Passed 10+2 from any recognized Board of School Education with at least 50% marks (45% for SC / ST) with any subject combination. Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination or those whose result of the qualifying Examination is awaited can also apply.
2. MCA
Eligibility for Admission: Bachelors' degree (10+2+3 pattern) in any discipline or any other degree recognized equivalent thereto from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate (40% for candidates belonging to the Scheduled caste and Scheduled tribe categories). Candidates appearing in the Final year of the qualifying examination or those whose result of the same is awaited, can also apply and appear in the Entrance Test provisionally.
3. Masters in Information Technology
Eligibility for Admission: Bachelors' degree (10+2+3 pattern) in any discipline or any other degree recognized equivalent thereto from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate (40% for candidates belonging to the Scheduled caste and Scheduled tribe categories). Candidates appearing in the final year of the qualifying examination or those, whose result of the same is awaited, can also apply for appearing in the Entrance Test.
4. Masters in Applied Mathematics
Eligibility for Admission: Bachelors’ degree of 10+2+3 pattern with Mathematics as one of the subjects or any other degree recognized equivalent thereto from any recognized university with at least 45% marks in aggregate (40% for the candidates belonging to the Scheduled caste and Scheduled tribe categories). Candidates appearing in the Final Year Examination of the qualifying degree, or those whose result of the same is awaited, can also apply provisionally.

Eligibility for Admission: Matriculation from any recognized Board of School Education with at least 50% marks (45% for SC / ST) Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination or those whose result of the same is awaited can also apply provisionally.

Eligibility for Admission: Passed 10+2 from a recognized Board with atleast 50% marks (45% for Scheduled caste / Scheduled tribe categories) with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination or those whose result of the qualifying examination is awaited can also apply.
7. BTech Lateral

Eligibility for Admission: Must have passed Diploma Engineering in the relevant or allied steam from a recognized Board of Technical Education / University with at least 60% marks.
8. BBA
Eligibility: Passed 10+ 2 from any recognized Board of School Education with at least 50% marks (45% for SC / ST) with any subject combination. Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination or those whose result of the qualifying examination is awaited can also apply.
9. MBA
Eligibility for Admission: Bachelors' degree (10+2+3 pattern) in any discipline or any other degree recognized equivalent thereto from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate (40% for candidates belonging to the Scheduled caste and Scheduled tribe categories).
10. MBA in FM
Eligibility for Admission: Bachelors' degree (10+2+3 pattern) in any discipline or any other degree recognized equivalent thereto from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate (40% for candidates belonging to the Scheduled caste and Scheduled tribe categories). Having passed final examination from the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Cost and Works Accountants or Company Secretaries.
AMIE (Engineering) with at least 50% marks in aggregate (40% for Scheduled caste/Scheduled tribe categories).
Candidates appearing in the final year examination of the qualifying degree or those, whose result of the same is awaited, can also apply provisionally and appear in the Management Aptitude Test (MAT).
11. BA (Hons.) Arabic
Eligibility for Admission: Passed 10+2 from any recognized Board of Senior Secondary School Education with atleast 45% marks (40% for candidates belonging to the Scheduled caste and Scheduled tribe categories).
Madrasa Pass outs with English as a compulsory subject and a minimum of 45% marks (40% for candidates belonging to SC&ST categories)
Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination or those whose result of the qualifying examination is awaited can also apply.
12. MA Arabic
Eligibility for Admission: Bachelors' degree (10+2+3 pattern) or any other examination equivalent thereto from a recognized university with Arabic as one of the subjects with at least 45% marks in aggregate (40% for candidates belonging to the Scheduled caste and Scheduled tribe categories).
A candidate who has appeared or is appearing in the final year examination of the qualifying degree is also eligible to apply provisionally.
13. Masters in Biotechnology and Bioresources
Eligibility for Admission: Bachelors' degree in Biology (10+2+3 pattern), Agriculture, Forestry, Pharmacology or Biotechnology from a recognized University with at least 60% marks (50% for candidates belonging to the Scheduled caste and Scheduled tribe categories). Candidates appearing in examination of the Final Year of the qualifying degree and those, whose result of the same is awaited, can also apply for provisionally appearing in the Entrance Test.

Information Bulletin & Application Form can be had from any of the following offices on payment of Rs. 800/ (Rs. 850/ by post), by Demand Draft, drawn in favour of Registrar, BGSB University Rajouri, payable at J&K Bank, BGSB University Campus, Rajouri.

Information Bulletin containing the Application Form is available on Website: www.bgsbuniversity.org, from where it can be downloaded. The Application form with all documents and Demand Draft for Rs.800/ (Rs.850/ by post), drawn in favour of Registrar, BGSB University Rajouri, payable at J&K Bank, BGSB University Campus, Rajouri can be deposited at any one of the three offices of the University.
Tentative cutoff date for submission of application forms is May 15, 2011.
