Post Graduate Admission 2010
Applications are invited in prescribed form (available at the University Counter on payment of Rs. 60.00 on all working days (except Saturday, Sunday & Holidays) from 11.00 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. or through website http://www. vidyasagar. ac. in accompanied by Demand Draft of Rs 100/ in favour of Vidyasagar University payable at Midnapore) along with the attested copies of Marksheets for admission to the following courses of the University for the academic session 2010-11. Separate applications will have to be made, if a candidate wants to apply in more than one subject.
1. Two-year M.A. Courses in (i) Bengali, (ii) English, (iii) Sanskrit,(iv) History, (v) Political Science, (vi) Philosophy,(vii) Economics, (viii) Santali, ( ix ) Sociology
Eligibility: For SL.NO.(i) to (viii), Hons in the relevant subject in 2009 / 2010. For SL. NO.(ix) ), Hons in Sociology ( Preferred ) / Social Work / Pol. Science / Philosophy / Anthropology.
2. (i) Two-year M.Com. Course (ii) Two-year M.B.A. Course( AICTE approved )
Eligibility: For SL.NO.(i), B.Com.( Hons). in 2009 / 2010. For SL.NO.(ii), Graduate in Science / Arts / Commerce / Medical / Engineering / Law (5-year) under 10+2+3 system or equivalent with 45 % marks in Hons. or in aggregate ( 40% marks for SC / ST ). Selection will be made through Entrance Test Like JEMAT, MAT, CAT or own test followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
3. Two-year M.Sc. Courses in (i) Physics, (ii) Chemistry, (iii) Applied Mathematics, (iv) Zoology, (v) Botany, (vi) ) Computer Science, (vii) Anthropology, (viii) Electronics, (ix) Geography, (x) Human Physiology, (xi) Microbiology, (xii) Aquaculture Management & Technology, (xiii) Remote Sensing & GIS, (xiv) Bio-medical Laboratory Science and Management, (xv) Bio-chemistry (off campus), (xvi) Biotechnology (off campus), (xvii) Nutrition and Dietetics- (1)VU & (2) off campus.
Eligibility: For SL. NO.(i) to (v),(ix) to(xi), Hons. in the relevant subject in 2009 / 2010. For SL.NO.(vi),Hons. in Computer Science / Physics / Mathematics. For SL.NO.(vii),Hons.in Anthropology (preferred) / Botany / Physiology / Zoology / Social Science / Geography. For SL.NO. (viii), Hons. in Electronics / Physics. For SL.NO..(xii), B.FSc./ Hons. in Zoology / Marine Science / Life Science / Bio-Chemistry / Microbiology / Hons. in any discipline of Life Science having Zoology as one of the subsidiary subject / Industrial Fish & Fisheries and Hons. in Aquaculture Management. For SL. No (xiii),Hons in Geography / Geology / Agricultural Science / Bio-Science / Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics / Computer Science / Electronics. For SL. No(xiv), BMLT/ M.Sc in Human Physiology in 2008 /2009 /2010/ B.Sc (Hons) in 2009/ 2010 in Physiology / Zoology / Botany / Molecular Biology / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Bio-Technology / B.Sc. with DMLT / B.Sc. in Laboratory Instrumentation / BAMS / BHMS / MBBS. 4.Two-year M.Phil. Programme in Political Science ( Self financing )
Eligibility : M.A. in Political Science with 55 % marks ( 50% marks for SC / ST category )
Selection Procedure : Selection will be made on the basis of Written Test and followed by Viva-Voce.
5.One year Bachelor Degree in Library and information Science
Eligibility: Hons. Graduate in any Discipline in 2009 / 2010 or M.A / M.Com. / M.Sc. in 2008 / 2009
6.One year Master Degree in Library and information Science.
Eligibility: BLISc in 2009 / 2010
7.One year P.G. Diploma Course in (i) Mass Communication & Videography, (ii) Applied Computer Science
Eligibility: For (i) & (ii), Graduate ( General / Hons. ) in any subject. Science Graduates are preferred for (ii).
8. Diploma Course in Advanced Hardware & Networking Administration ( 6 months )
Eligibility: At least H.S. passed.9.Certificate Course in Basic & Advance Java ( 3 months ) Eligibility : At least H.S. passed
10. One year Diploma Course in Office Automation and Internet Technologies
Eligibility : P.G. / UG Regular /Ex-students of this University in any discipline.
