M.Ed admission 2010
Punjab University, Chandigarh has invited application for admission to Regular and Correspondence M.Ed courses of the Academic Year 2010-11. Selection to the both the above courses will be based on Entrance Examination to be conducted on 29th August 2010; for which the candidtes have to apply seperately.
The final merit for admission shall be computed by giving 50% weightage to entrance test and 50% weightage to the qualifying examination. Candidates seeking admission to M.Ed (Regular) and appearing for entrance examination should have 55% marks in B. Ed. (50% in case of SC/ST candidates).
Candidates seeking admission to M.Ed (Correspondence) and appearing for entrance examination should have 55% marks in B. Ed. (50% in case of SC/ST candidates) along with two years paid work experience in a school recognized by a Board of School Education established by law or in College affiliated to or recognized by a university. Part-time experience shall also be counted towards teaching experience if the teaching was done as paid teaching and the teacher is working at the time of admission in the above mentioned organisations.
Application forms are available by hand on Cash payment (only) of Rs.1700/- (SC/ST Category: Rs. 850/-) from The Manager, Publication Bureau, Panjab University, Chandigarh-160014 or from selected Post offices.
For availing the Prospectus by post, a request should be addressed to: The Manager, Publication Bureau, Panjab University, Chandigarh-160014 along with a Bank Draft for the requisite amount (General Category: Rs. 1780/- SC/ST Category: Rs. 930/-), drawn in favour of The Registrar, Panjab University, Chandigarh and payable at Chandigarh.

The printout the same has to be supported with required fees through DD as mentioned above. A candidate desirous of taking the Entrance Test should send his/her application to The Assistant Registrar, CET Cell, Aruna Ranjit Chandra Hall (Near Post Office), Panjab University, Chandigarh-160014 on or before 28-07-2010.
After the result of the Entrance Test has been declared, all eligible candidates have to send the Application Form for M.Ed to The Assistant Registrar (CET Cell), Aruna Ranjit Chandra Hall, (Near Post Office), Panjab University, Chandigarh 160014 on or before 24-09-2010.
