MBA Admissions 2011
Applications have been invited by Gauhati University for admission to Master of Business Administration (MBA) course of Academic Year 2011-13.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: A bachelor's degree of 10+2+3 pattern with 50% marks in aggregate or in Honours/Major subject (if any) from the Gauhati University or any other recognised University (not through Distance mode). Those who have appeared in the final year of the bachelor's degree or any equivalent examination may also apply provided they will be able to meet the eligibility condition prior to 31st August 2011.
Eligible applicant will have to appear in a written test, meant to evaluate their quantitative aptitude, data interpretation, general awareness and proficiency in English, to be conducted by the Gauhati University on Saturday February 5th 2011 at 1.30 pm.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE: Application forms along with Prospectus can be obtained from (i) Office of the Secretary, Gauhati University Publication Department (GUPD) and (ii) G.U. Information centre, Ambari on payment of Rs.250/- (Two Hundred fifty only) in cash or through Bank draft drawn in favour of Registrar, Gauuhati University at S.B.I., Gauhati University Branch.
Request by post must be accompanied by a self-addressed envelope of 25cm x 31cm size with a postage stamp of Rs.35/- ( thirty five only).
The application forms for admission may also be downloaded from the website at www.gauhati.ac.in in which case a Bank Draft of Rs. 250/- ( Two Hundred fifty only) in favour of Registrar Gauhati University and payable at S.B.I., Gauhati University Branch is to be attached along with the filled in application form. An amount of Rs 350/-( Three Hundred fifty only) in cash as fee for the Entrance Test is to be deposited in the Department of Business Administration, G.U. at the time of submission of admission form.
Duly completed Application Form accompanied by all testimonials from HSLC onwards should reach the Head of the Department of Business Administration, Gauhati University on or before 31st of January 2011.
