Institute of Chemical Technology has always been enterprising and mindful of the environmental impact of our actions. It has always been associated with the most relevant research in the areas of ‘green technologies’ and ‘industrial sustainability’.
Now with EXERGY, ICT aims to provide a platform for undergraduate students from all over the country to exercise their technical prowess to come up with innovative and green solutions to some of the pressing issues faced by the chemical industry.
EXERGY will be a confluence of ideas and solutions for a ‘greener future’. The emphasis on practical, workable and innovative ideas will be evident in the design of the technical events. It aims to instill an environmentally conscious mindset in its participants, preparing them to face the challenges of the future.
EXERGY is a dream. A dream for a greener future. To turn this dream into a reality, awareness amongst tomorrow’s technocrats is of paramount importance. To bring about this awareness, EXERGY plays host to a TALK SHOW- ‘Treading the Green Mile’. The TALK SHOW promises to bring up new ideas and inspire the audience. It is an opportune chance to interact via an open forum with eminent environmentalists, entrepreneurs and champions of the environment from both academia and industry.
EXERGY derives its uniqueness from being the first festival to calculate the carbon footprint of its activities and offset it by a tree plantation drive. Such an affirmative action has never been seen in a technical event in India.

Events
The various events at EXERGY are designed to channel the technical knowledge of the best minds in the country and provide a common platform for them to present their ideas and innovations. With a wide variety of technical and non-technical events EXERGY promises to put forth exciting challenges that will not only test your grey cells but also help you to think differently.
Each event has been designed in a manner so as to encourage Green ideas and solutions.
Registration fees- Nominal registration fees will be charged to participants ( not more than Rs.50)
Accomodation- Accomodation will be provided to outstation participants at nominal rates.
Food- breakfast and high tea will be provided to the participants free of cost.
Travelling reimbursement- All outstation participants will be provided with reimbursement for one way second class ticket upto Mumbai.
For Affichem- Every topic will have a separate prize.
Many consolation prizes are also up for grabs.
Participation Certificates will be awarded to all the participants.
* PRODIGY
An eclectic clubbing of events requiring a prodigious combination of ingenuity and the knowledge of chemical engineering fundamentals. This event includes the sub-events - Chemical Engineering Industry Defined Problem, SimPlant and the Chemical Engineering Quiz.
