There are three faculty divisions at WII - Wildlife Biology , Wildlife Management and Wildlife Extension , besides two units, namely Ecodevelopment Cell and the EIA cell. Providing support are Computer Center, Library and Documentation Centre, Laboratory , Herbarium and Audio-Visual Unit.

The Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology is an autonomous research Institute of the Department of the science & Technology, Govt. of India. Established in June, 1968 as a small nucleus in two rooms of the Botany Department, Delhi University, the Institute was shifted to Dehra Dun during April, 1976. Previously named as the Institute of Himalayan Geology, it was renamed as the Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology in memory of its founder- the late Prof. D. N. Wadia, (F.R.S. and National Professor), in appreciation to his contributions to geology of the Himalayas.

Sri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Technology & Science (formerly Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Management) was established in 1994 at Dehradun by Shri Guru Ram Rai Education Mission with the financial support of its parent body-Darbar Shri Guru Ram Rai Ji Maharaj, which is over 350 years old religious and philanthropic organization.

Named after the divine Mount Kailas, the abode of Lord Shiva, Kailas Ashram is situated in the picturesque surroundings at Rishikesh (Uttaranchal), India. From the Ashram, which is located on a ridge, one enjoys an exquisite view of the Himalayas and the Holy Ganges in the East and of the forests in the west. The Ashram is spread over about 3 acres of land and houses temple(s), lecture hall, yagyashala, gowshala, kitchen, office, peethacharya niwas and facilities of 100 rooms

The study of Vedanta literature is the major activity of the Ashram.

The University of Kumaun has instituted a comprehensive Two-Year Full Time Programme leading to the Degree of MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (MBA) consisting of four semsster. The Kumaun University Master of Business Administration (KUMBA) programme has been approved by the All India Council For Technical Education (AICTE) and also aided by the University Grants Commission ( UGC), New Delhi.The visiting/vuest faculties have been invited from premier institutes like the IIM, XLRI, IIT, Panjab University and Delhi School Of Economics, Faculty Of Management Studies, University of Delhi.

The campus is spread over an area of 4.5 acres, with total academicenviron. The Indian Institute of Petroleum (IIP), one of the constituent laboratories of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), located in beautiful valley of Dehradun in outer Himalaya started functioning temporarily at Delhi in September 1960 and shifted to Dehra Dun during 1963. In establishing the Institute, initial help was provided by the French Institute of Petroleum (IFP).
