Department of Engineering Chemistry
Engineering Chemistry section was established in the year 1965 under the headship of Prof. P.L. Ramasamy and then it was shifted to science block building in 1976, with five faculty members and 32 seating capacity M.Phil in Engineering Chemistry was introduced in the year 1980 and a very good research lab was established in 1982 with sophisticated instruments. Many students got M.Phil and Ph.D degrees from our section. M.Phil in Applied Chemistry has been started in 1990and more than 20 students got benefited out of it. Since 2009, the chemistry section is functioning in the new science block with more facilities.
