Department of Biochemistry & Biotechnology
The Department of Biochemistry was started in 1994. In a short span of time it made rapid studies in both teaching and research. The department runs an M.Sc., Biochemistry course and a 5 year integrated course in M.Sc., Biotechnology. In addition to this it has an M.Phil and Ph.D programme. The Biochemistry (2 Year) and Biotechnology (5-Year) course has been updated with the inclusion of all the latest topics available and in line with UGC guidelines. Our teachers have achieved excellence both in teaching and research. Till date 218 students have been awarded M.Phil degrees and 62 awarded Ph.D degrees.
