Sri Venkateswara College of Education was established under Srinivasa Educational Academy, Chittoor, is a registered Society with an objective of imparting higher education in the fields of arts, Science, Commerce, Law, Computer, Nursing and Technology. It is rendering service to the needy people living in the rural areas irrespective of cast and creed without any profit motive.
The Government of Andhra Pradesh underlined the need for teacher education in the state to reach the target of eradicating the illiteracy and permitted private agencies to start B.Ed., Colleges for the development of a teacher eduation in 2001. As a result, this college started functioning with effect from May 2003. It is affiliated to Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati. It is really a Himalayan task to start this college in the field of teacher education.
