Russian Language Classes in Chowgule College

The Russian Centre for Language and Culture (RCLC) of the School of Foreign Languages of Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts and Science is pleased to announce the commencement of Russian language classes from Wednesday, 28th January, 2015 in the College in collaboration with the Russian Centre for Science and Culture, New Delhi (RCSC) and the Russian State University for the Humanities, Moscow (RSUH). Classes for the beginners’ level, RU-1 will be held in batches from 4-00 to 6-00 p.m. and 6-00 to 8-00 p.m. on alternate days, three days a week.

On successful completion of the Russian language courses, students will receive certificates from the Russian Centre for Language and Culture, New Delhi. RCSC is offering testing according to the TORFL system (Testing of Russian as a Foreign Language - standardized test supervised by the Russian Ministry of Education and Science). These language courses are compatible with the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference levels for languages: learning, teaching, assessment).

The language courses are being conducted by the specialist Russian language teacher; Prof. Galina Kuzmina, Assistant Professor, Russian State University for the Humanities, Moscow. Prof. Galina brings with her considerable experience in teaching Russian language.

Chowgule College to begin new batches for Spanish language course - October 2014

The Spanish Centre of Chowgule College, Margao has announced the commencement of new batches of Spanish language classes. The new batch of Spanish Basic A1.1 level will commence from Monday, 20th Classes will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 3-30 to 5-30 p.m. or from 6-00 to 8-00 p.m. depending on the convenience of maximum number of students. It will involve 60 hours of learning spread over ten weeks. Examination will be conducted in December, 2014. The course will be conducted by Spanish national Ms. Edith Aurrecoechea, an expert in the subject.

The course will begin from September, 2014 and will be conducted at the college premises. Classes will begin from September, 2014 onwards every Wednesday & Friday from 4.00 to 6.00 pm, or 5-00 to 8-00 pm or 6-00 to 9-00 pm. The timings are flexible.

The Student Support Services at Chowgule College, Margao will conduct a workshop on Statistical Data Analysis for teachers & researchers.
