National Institute of Technology Puducherry (NIT-Py) has been given the "Award of Excellence" by CCI Technology Education Awards 2014. The award was conferred by Gujarat Technological University and Communication Multimedia and Infrastructure Association of India in Karaikal.
Bhupendra Singh Chudasame, The Minister of Higher and Technical Education of Gujarat, presented the award to Dr Mrs S K Pandey, director, NIT-Py on July 19 at Ahmedabad.
The programme was attended by Rizali W Indrahesuma, Ambassador of Indonesia, Shaida Mohd. Abdali, ambassador of Afghanistan to India, Lewis Mbilizi, deputy high commissioner of Malawi of India and Ndubuisi V Amaku, high commissioner of Nigeria to India as well as the directors and vice-chancellors of many universities across India.
NIT Puducherry has 120 seats that conducts BTech courses in various disciplines of engineering.
