CBSE exams from March 1 to April 17th

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) board examination for classes 10 and 12 will begin on March 1.

For class 10 students, the examination will end on March 19 2014. And for class 12 students, the examination will end on April 17 2014.

Around 22.65 lakh students have registered for the 2014 CBSE board exam as compared to 21.76 lakh students registered in 2013 CBSE board exams. The increase in number of students is attributed to large number schools opting for CBSE boards across India.

Both class X and class XII examination will start from 1 st march 2012 but has different end dates.     Karnataka government has decided to introduce CBSE syllabus for 11th standard students for the academic year 2012 – 2013 while 12th standard students will have state board syllabus.     Central Board of Secondary examination (CBSE) has announced the date of All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT). The prelims will be held on 1st April 2012 and the main exam on 13th April 2012. This step was taken by CBSE due to postponement of NEET-UG ( National Eligibility cum entrance test for undergraduates). The AIPMT exam syllabus, exam centers and question pattern of the exam will remain exactly the same as it was in 2011.

    CBSE wants schools to form integrity clubs to impart moral values in students. The board has advised schools to tell students the negative effects of television, internet and cell phones. Integrity clubs will be functioning just like community groups for imparting human values among student by means of workshop, games and different activities in schools. Integrity Club will consist of students from class 6th to 9th standard from the age group of 11 to 16 years. This club will instill values in integrity, love, patriotism, compassion, tolerance, secularism, unity, simplicity and honesty.
