AICTE to hold CMAT twice a year from 2013

AICTE has decided to conduct Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT) twice a year from 2013. The entrance exam will be conducted after a gap of 6 months. This would help interested candidates to sit again for the entrance test. The best score would be considered while admission in any B-School.

From 2013 it will be mandatory for all AICTE approved colleges to take admission by considering CMAT scores.

    National Board of Examination (NBE), New Delhi has announced the results of All Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination (AIPGMEE) for the year 2014. AIPGMEE 2014 was conducted from 25th November to 6th December 2013. AIPGMEE is a Computer-Based Test (CBT) Candidates who have qualified for participation in the counseling conducted by Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) for All India 50% Quota MD/MS/Post Graduate Diploma Courses can download their score card from AIPGMEE 2014 website.     In a clear case of revolt against Kapil Sibal's decision to merge IIT Joint Entrance Exam (IIT-JEE) with All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE), Indian Institute of (IIT) Kanpur has announced that it will conduct its own entrance exam in 2013. "The recent IIT Council proposal on admissions to IITs is academically and methodically unsound and in violation of the Institutes of Technology Act (1961) and IIT Kanpur Ordinances (Ordinance 3.2 (Admissions)," said the IIT Kanpur committee members.

    CBSE announced date of AIPMT entrance examination

    Central Board of Secondary examination (CBSE) has announced the date of All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT). The prelims will be held on 1st April 2012 and the main exam on 13th April 2012. This step was taken by CBSE due to postponement of NEET-UG ( National Eligibility cum entrance test for undergraduates). The AIPMT exam syllabus, exam centers and question pattern of the exam will remain exactly the same as it was in 2011.

    AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) has launched CMAT (Common Management Admission Test) for getting admission in all B- Schools through out India for the academic year 2012- 2014 Education Promotion Society of India (EPSI), an association of B- School and Association of Indian Management Schools ( AIMS) have objected to the idea of a single entrance test.

    All India Council for Technical Education ( AICTE ) had come up with the unique idea to conduct Common Management Aptitude Test ( CMAT ) for admission to all AICTE approved management colleges for MBA courses and post graduate diploma in business administration. It was a great move as students had to appear for one single exam and not multiple exams. But the idea was challenged in court, thus AICTE will be conducting the regular CMAT exam in the year 2012 and students will have to appear for multiple entrance test.
