AICTE to hold CMAT twice a year from 2013 AICTE has decided to conduct Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT) twice a year from 2013. The entrance exam will be conducted after a gap of 6 months. This would help interested candidates to sit again for the entrance test. The best score would be considered while admission in any B-School. From 2013 it will be mandatory for all AICTE approved colleges to take admission by considering CMAT scores.
Mumbai University offering Dual Degrees Mumbai university is offering students dual degrees from the academic session 2012 – 2013. The university has scrapped the decision regarding completing of engineering within 8 years tenure. S K Ukrande has decided to allow only those students to pick the course who are capable of doing it.
CBSE announced date of AIPMT entrance examination Central Board of Secondary examination (CBSE) has announced the date of All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT). The prelims will be held on 1st April 2012 and the main exam on 13th April 2012. This step was taken by CBSE due to postponement of NEET-UG ( National Eligibility cum entrance test for undergraduates). The AIPMT exam syllabus, exam centers and question pattern of the exam will remain exactly the same as it was in 2011.
No NEET till 2014 declared Karnataka Government Karnataka chief minister D V Sadananda Gowda has decided not to participate in NEET till 2014. He stated that there is difference in plus two state syllabus and CBSE syllabus on which the NEET examination is based. He stated that the state will adopt national syllabus for the science stream in the new academic year 2012 – 2013. This will help them prepare for the NEET entrance test in the year 2014.
Strathclyde University opens its first campus in Greater Noida, India. Education Secretary Michael Russell officially launched the new campus. The campus is being developed by Strathclyde's business school and infrastructure company SKIL. Strathclyde business school will provide education in Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Master level courses.
